Pepijn Kennis sees the city as a place for everyone, created by everyone. In the past, he pursued this vision through Toestand, transforming underused spaces into meeting places where many things are possible. This commitment found a political echo through Agora.Brussels, by representing a randomly selected citizens’ assembly in the Brussels Parliament. As a guest professor in the Urban Studies program, he explores applied societal issues with students. Additionally, he works on securing urban space as a place for encounters and social engagement.
