OPENING CONFERENCE ON CLIMATE CHANGE

AGORA URBAN MASTER CLASSES : OPENING CONFERENCE ON CLIMATE CHANGE : WEDNESDAY 20 NOVEMBER

The problem of climate change is a very serious one, as it threatens the very inhabitability of the only liveable planet in the solar system. This lecture by Prof. Jean-Pascal van Ypersele (UCLouvain) will review the symptoms of the climate crisis, the diagnosis about its causes, and the prognosis under a variety of potential treatments. The work of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (www.IPCC.ch) will be used as a key reference.

Prof. Jean-Pascal van Ypersele (UCLouvain) is the former IPCC Vice-chair and Member of the Académie royale de Belgique. The conversation will be moderated by Marion Berzin (Brussels Academy).
