#6. BRUSSELS, AFRICAN CITY

Although Brussels urbanism owes a lot to Congo’s treasures, Sub-Saharan immigration appeared after the independence. African immigrants shape the city, they settled their centre at Matonge. They became part of the city working both for their own communities as well as being open to the intercultural life.
