#5 WORKERS, WELCOME !

The most organised migration was the post-war labour migration. Workers came from Italy, Greece, Spain or Portugal and later from Morocco and Turkey to work in the collieries and industries. These immigrant workers became the main victims of the economic crises and desindustrialization. Their children have not benefited from perspectives needed to a decent integration into Brussels society. Social or cultural division? Socio-economic or cultural problems?
