#3. De stad is van iedereen
What can we learn from our cities? And what can they learn from each other? They are places where complex challenges come together, but also a test floor where people invent new ways of living together that can be applied to the rest of the country.
Come to 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗻, 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼’𝘀 𝘃𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝗲𝗸𝗼𝗺𝘀𝘁: three evenings of talks in three cities. Learn from specialists, listen to residents’ stories and be inspired by surprising experiments from Brussels, Antwerp and Ghent.
Under the microscope in De Krook Library: 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗶𝘁, 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗽 𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗸𝗲 𝗿𝘂𝗶𝗺𝘁𝗲.
Public space should be inclusive. Only then does it truly belong to everyone. This is especially true in our super-diverse cities. But how can we together create a city where everyone feels at home? How can newcomers and people with a migration background help shape their environment? How can they make their voices heard? Meet bottom-up projects from Brussels, Antwerp and Ghent in which local communities are transforming public spaces and making them more inclusive.
With guest speaker 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝘀 (VUB), 𝗭𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗸𝗲 (Brussels), 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 (Antwerp) and 𝗢𝗖𝗨𝗣 (Ghent). In collaboration with 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝗹 and 𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗠𝗜𝗥 (UGent).
