#4. Spontane stad (NL)
Sharpen your brain in the afternoon with hot topics and a hot bowl of (vegetarian) soup. Engaging speakers dissect topical issues with a Brussels angle.
Public spaces, we all use them daily: to get around, meet each other, read a book…. But how do we design them? Do we plan the layout of every little square or can spontaneous fill-ins also arise? Frederik Ceulemans, volunteer at Willemsfonds Brussel Centrum, will discuss this with Maarten Weyns and Omar Kashmiry of architecture firm Meow collective.
Meow collective
The collective aims to create playful and inclusive places that celebrate the social essence of life. The Meow collective believes that public space should reflect the diversity of the city. To achieve this, the collective involves local residents in the design process.
