#1. Stad van Alle Leeftijden
People of all ages share the city together. They encounter each other in a shared space, each with their own pace, needs and dreams.
How do we design our cities so that everyone feels good and welcome? Can we create public space for young, old and everything in between? Yes, as long as we design them consciously and inclusively. The city proves that too.
What can we learn from our cities? And what can they learn from each other?

Els Vervloesem (KU Leuven) and Griet Roets (UGent) will introduce the topic, followed by Filip Balthau (J100), Lea Vromman (Park Ouest), Toon Bennoot and Aurelie De Smet (Kompas), Sofie Vermeylen and Jeroen Buytaert (Buurtwerking Elegast-Den Dam).
Publiek Plan presents their brand new book of the same name. In it, artists, designers, social workers and city residents join forces to explore different ways of mapping and shaping the city.
Two rappers from different generations listen in and freestyle a summary of the evening. Mic check, Ymre Denis (27 years old, Why Panda, Why?) and Kristof “Scale” Strybos (53 years old, Sint Andries MC’s)!
Host Anouk Torbeyns, editor-in-chief at youth media agency StampMedia, will keep the evening running smoothly.
