3 Evening debates, 3 cities (Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent).
Our cities are places where complex challenges converge. At the same time (or because of that?), they are a promising testing ground where people are figuring out new ways of living together for the rest of the country.
What can we learn from our cities? And what can they learn from each other? To explore that “Steden, labo’s voor de Toekomst” brings together Flemish cities, libraries and academics around various social issues. Hear from specialists, listen to the stories of resourceful residents and learn about surprising experiments.

4 workshops on artificial intelligence, digital twins and urban transformation
Dive into the heart of Data & The City 2025 (Brussels Academy X Fari), a series of workshops in which artificial intelligence and digital twins take centre stage in urban transformations. Will these technologies really revolutionise the management and development of our cities?
Decision-makers, researchers and citizens are invited to reflect together on urban challenges in the light of these new visualisation and simulation techniques.
Four key themes will be addressed during the workshops: the opportunities and challenges associated with this technology, its potential to help manage the risks associated with climate change, the possibility of integrating citizen participation into such a system, and the prospects it may offer for specific sectors such as heritage preservation.
