Dream of Zinneke

Step into the dream. This year’s theme for the Zinneke Parade invites you to dive into your imagination. But what are Zinneke’s dreams? How did the parade come about and what does it mean for our city today?

Leen and Aline will tell you all about the history and future, the symbolism and the Zinnodes of the festive Brussels parade. Every two years, this artistic parade winds its way through the streets of our city to bring all kinds of different people together.

Leen De Spiegelaere is the managing director at Zinneke. She previously worked as
managing director at MetX and as coordinator at the Brussels Arts Council.

Aline Nyirahumure is the coordinator of Kuumba and, from Kuumba, helps supervise the Zinnode “Zwarte Ster van Dromen” (Black Star of Dreams).

Everyone is welcome from 12:15 for a bowl of vegetarian soup in cooperation with Atelier Groot Eiland

The speaker will start at 12:30

Afterwards, there will be time for questions from the audience

Registration is recommended but not compulsory
